Product Safety Engineerrequired for Glasgow.
Our client is a global company engaged in the development, delivery and support of advanced defence and aerospace systems in the air, on land and at sea.
They consist of three Operating Groups that provide support and service solutions for current and future defence, intelligence, and civilian systems; design, develop and manufacture a wide range of electronic systems and subsystems for both military and commercial applications; and design, develop, produce,and provide service support of armoured combat vehicles, artillery systems and intelligent munitions.
The Companys success is predicated by the basic requirement to deliver to its customers those products, services and capabilities they specify and expect, to time and budget.
Our client are looking to recruit a Product SafetyEngineerto increase the current level of available resources delivering safety engineering and management activities and solutions.The successful candidate must be capable of demonstrating a knowledge of safety systems within the following areas:
- Safety Management systems
- Safety risk assessment
- Corporate social responsibility
- Technical report writing
- A background in the marine domain would be an advantage Candidates from a variety of backgrounds will be considered and especially those with marine experience or a SSMO qualification and/ or a mechanical/electrical systems engineering including a Health and Safety qualification. Candidates will also be considered thathave product safety knowledge from a heavy manufacturing/engineering and or structural background.
