    Our client, a large international company, is seeking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer to join their high profile team.

    The successful candidate will be accountable for the development and implementing of strategies which enable statistical techniques to be deployed across the business including, machine capability, process capability and factual data when investigating quality or performance investigations. The candidate will also be accountable for the provision of feedback in relation to the improvements, developments and safety of the manufacturing process. The successful candidate will be expected to asses the manufacturing process, determining plant requirements to maintain safety, assess production requirements to support continuous improvement, supporting and facilitating initiatives as required, reviewing existing working practices, give professional presentations when required, direct and participate in the specifications for capital equipment procedures, provide training, manage consumable tooling utilisation and application toward cost effective use and provide shift cover in other areas of the manufacturing process when required.

    Ideally the candidate will be skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Packages, particularly excel and database. The candidate should also be skilled in communicating, Basic Project Management, diplomacy, negotiating, organisation, leadership and motivating. The candidate must be able to work well with others as well as work on their own using their own initiative when needed. The candidate should have an understanding of continuous improvement techniques as applied to manufacturing and should have proven problem solving and analytic skills.

    The successful candidate should have be degree qualified or equivalent and should have gained experience from working in a manufacturing/production environment, gaining a knowledge and understanding of the theories relating to the manufacturing process. The candidate should ideally have experience gained from using CNC machining, gained in process development areas, experience of facilitating small and medium groups.
