| Our client is a Scottish based company with a UK-wide reputation for delivering quality furniture for educational environments. They work closely with their clients to create innovative, affordable solutions. They have extensive experience and work on projects of all sizes. Their success in working with major construction companies on large PPP schemes is equally impressive. They have a new opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their friendly Kirkcaldy based team. You will be reporting directly to the Commercial Manager. Your key responsibilities will be to perform the day to day duties of QS. You will review, respond and agree proposed and potential Ts & Cs (tenders, orders, LOIs, contract documentation). You will also make interim payment applications, value variations and monitor and advise on contract performance in respect of delays and extensions and on the margin performance of projects. Lastly you will prepare final accounts and manage issue resolution.Ideally you will currently be working for a main/sub contractor and looking for a new challenge though applications will be considered from any candidates with general Quantity Surveying experience. This is a growing marketplace (the company turnover in 2007 was £30 million and growth is currently at 33%) and the company can offer good career progression for ambitious candidates. As the UKs leading, and largest, manufacturer and supplier of furniture for educational environments our client can offer a highly attractive salary package tailored to your experience. Alongside your basic salary you will have the use of a pool car with paid business mileage (this is predominantly a head office based role) and also be eligible for company pension and private healthcare.
