Microsoft Application Developers (.net) Location: Edinburgh City Centre Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 Reporting to: Line Manager Reference No. FPSG-LT-MDEV THE COMPANY A large multi-national financial organisation offering unrivaled career opportunities and options for career progression. They require bright, passionate, versatile Microsoft Developers to jump start one of their biggest projects to date. ROLE EXPERIENCE To analyse, design and develop in-house .NET applications to support the growth and development of the business. Key responsibilities will include: Analyse, design, build and test applications. Implement systems in the live environment. Provide second level support to users. Provide training on developed applications when required. Manage projects when requested to do so by the Application Development Manager, following current project management guidelines. Contribute to the development of current standards and procedures, and use current standards and procedures in all tasks. Key Skills Developers are expected to be involved on the full development life cycle. This will require successful candidates to demonstrate:- Strong analytical skills Strong technical skill Ability to communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical staff Strong time management and organisation skills The Technical skills for this role are:- Experience of .NET development (.NET 2.0/3.0/3.5) Visual Studio 2005/2008 C#/WinForms Experience of XML and Office 2007/XML would also be advantageous but are not prerequisites for the position.
